Sri
Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology has today carved a niche for
itself in quality cardiac care in the country. Spread on a sprawling
13 acres of land in Jayanagar, Jayadeva Institute is an exclusively
dedicated 540 bed heart hospital and is considered to be one of
the largest in Asia Pacific region.
About
1000 Open Heart surgeries, 8000 Coronary Angiograms, 2000 Procedures
including Angioplasties and Valvuloplasties are done in this hospital
The
prevalence of heart attack, which was 2% in 1960 has increased
to 12% in 2005. Unfortunately heart attack and other related heart
ailments steadily are increasing among the poor people. 80% of
the patients who come to our hospital are well below the poverty
line. The consumables used for various procedures like
Open-heart surgeries (Valve replacement), Angioplasty procedures,
Pacemaker Procedures are becoming very expensive.

APPEAL |
Although
the Government is giving funds, it s far from adequate. So it
is both a moral and social responsibility on us to treat patients
without compromising quality even when they cannot afford these
procedures financially. Hence we are taking this noble
cause to mobilize funds in the form of donations from various
Government and Non-Government agencies. “As an
initial gesture, all employees of our hospital have donated one-day
salary towards the Poor patient fund’.
So
I humbly request you to donate liberally any amount in the from
of Cash or Cheque or Demand Draft drawn in favour of the
Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore
towards the treatment of poor patients in this institution. Donation
to this hospital are exempted from Income Tax under section 80G.
Donations
received in excess of Rs. 1.00 Lakh, will be displayed in the
donors List. “Funds utilization will be transparent
and open for scrutiny’. Kindly consider our sincere appeal
and donate for this noble cause.
We
are working on novel slogan “Every Needy Patient Should
Be Given Quality Treatment Irrespective Of Financial Affordability”.
